Here at Little Scholars we treat all our children as if they were our very own… in fact, many of them have been!​ It's our absolute privilege to welcome them into our family-run, purpose-built building and watch the next generation grow.

​

We provide for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years old within our five playrooms. We have three garden play areas, one of which is fully sheltered for all weather play as we believe children benefit greatly from outdoor activity, come whatever the weather brings. We have an outdoor building within one of our gardens called Olly's Snug which provides the children with a nurturing and relaxing space to spend some time in. Little Scholars is also incredibly lucky to have use of its own private forest, right next door to the nursery called Little Woodlands. The children love it!

We also benefit from a large spacious central area that the children use for group play and learning and a wonderfully therapeutic sensory room to provide stimulation for individual children's needs.

Our fully equipped kitchen provides nutritious lunches and snacks throughout the day including special dietary requirements, and meals are prepared each day by our very own cook.

We work in partnership with South Lanarkshire Council and are a provider of the 1140 hours of free childcare to all 3-5-year-olds and eligible 2-year-olds in South Lanarkshire.

 

Our staff are trained regularly to keep up to date with the most beneficial learning through play methods so our children get the most out of their time at Little Scholars.

Our Ethos here at Little Scholars is 'putting the children first'. We strive to meet this every day so that our children leave us with the best start and the fondest memories of their time at nursery.
